Residential Renovation - Auckland, New Zealand - Completed 2022
This 1940’s two-bedroom home was renovated to better serve the client’s growing family. We designed a new master-suite containing a generous bedroom and ensuite. This room borrows space from the northern deck to make the bedroom feel larger and connected to nature.
The client wanted the addition to feel seamless with the existing home. To achieve this we continued the palette of existing materials in both the interior and exterior including a reclaimed rimu floor. The addition wraps around an existing deck, improving privacy from a shared driveway and enhancing connection to the outdoors.
