Residential Subdivision and New Build - Auckland New Zealand - Work In Progress

My clients faced a tough housing market and missed out on many auctions, so we decided to explore the idea of subdividing their parents land and building a new house in the unused garden space. We quickly embraced this idea and we got this project started. 

This two lot subdivision allowed us to create a 323sqm plot behind the existing house.  We designed a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with an internal garage, making the most of the space. The design focused on creating a seamless flow between the living spaces and exterior deck and garden.  

Upstairs, the master bedroom was positioned to capture distant views of Rangitoto Island and the Waitematā Harbour.

To stay within their budget, my client, a qualified builder, and his eager partner decided to build the home themselves. They dedicated numerous weekends to bring this project to life.
